How Gate Owners Can Find The Right Access Control Kit
Having an access control system professionally installed as part of their automated gate system gives gate owners more control over access to their property. It is the perfect solution for anybody conscious of the safety and security of their home or business premises.
For gate owners who wish to improve the security of their property but still give friends, family or colleagues a controlled way to access their premises, access control kits from Linkcare make this a reality.
Access Control
Access through automatic gates or doors can be controlled by components ranging from a simple push button gate release, all the way up to GSM or even WiFi video intercoms that allow visual confirmation of visitor identity, and control of the gate operation from anywhere in the world. Here at Linkcare, we provide a wide range of access control components and systems, plus technical installation advice and support to suit all requirements.
All of the access control systems and components we provide can be installed and programmed by a trained expert to work with most doors and electric gates, allowing property owners to keep their premises protected and secure.
Entry Systems
Entry systems combine all the elements of access control in a variety of configurations. The minimum requirement is something to provide an instruction for the gate to open or close and something to receive and action that command. In simple terms, these can be provided by:
Access control system components outside the gate and those inside the gate can be wired together for electrical or Internet communication or they can communicate wirelessly. This can be through radio, internet (Wi-Fi) or GSM (mobile phone) technology.
Keypads, Fobs And Tags
Gate owners can provide individual access through the provision of transmitter fobs, keycards or proximity tags combined with the appropriate receiver or reader built into the gate automation system. Transmitters send a signal to the gate automation control receiver to open or close the gates. Keycards and proximity tags are held close to, or tapped onto, a card or tag reader and provide the same command to the automatic gates.
Intercoms
Intercom is short for inter-communication and covers all panels with microphone, speaker, and possibly video camera, mounted outside the gate for communication with their counterparts inside the property. External panels can be standard or vandal resistant with colours including gold, silver, brushed steel and aluminium. Most provide audio or audio and video communication with internal panels but additional access options in the shape of keypads and tag or keycard readers can be included.
Internal panels include a simple speaker and microphone module or full telephone style handset and (in the case of a video intercom) video monitor. All have a gate release button to provide the ‘open’ command to the gate control system.
